Now that you have covered these theories, think of the informal societal learning institutions around - home included. How are they able to teach effectively without this knowledge - or do they have? If they do, where do they get it from? Interesting!

In this blog, my point of reference is computer lesson

To me informal learning institutions sound like "internet cafe in the shopping complex or  freind computer with internet connection". At first the knowledge how, is what these participants (children) are likely have, which in most cases they acquire it from "trial and error attemps" it therefore means it is either an autonomous process or peer learning. This is one kind of infromal learning, because the participants are not awere of knowledge what and knowledge that, however they can carryout knowledge how. It means participants have skills to teach one another computer lessons through doing. Some they get computer skills from everyday practice.

  1. That is what makes them digital natives Sello. They grow up with it and it ends up being second nature to them to figure out these technologies. Some of them actually excel in it and end up being employed without going to school to learn it.
